About This Role

Office of Governor J. Kevin Stitt

During my time as a Press Assistant in Governor Kevin Stitt's office, I supported a wide range of communications efforts including press events, speech and talking-point development, media messaging, and digital content creation. Working under the Director of Communications, I collaborated on weekly strategy discussions, helped draft messaging materials, and contributed to projects designed to strengthen the Governor's public presence across traditional and digital platforms.

I also assisted with social media design and copywriting for audiences reaching more than 24,500 followers on Instagram, 109,900 on X, and 181,000 on Facebook. Creating content that aligned with the Governor's messaging while remaining engaging and platform-appropriate was both exciting and fast-paced work.

A Home For Every Child

On February 12, 2026, Kevin Stitt joined ACF Assistant Secretary Alex Adams to launch “A Home For Every Child,” with Oklahoma becoming the first state to participate in the program.

I was tasked with creating podium signage that captured the partnership while maintaining the professional tone of the event. To align with the initiative’s existing branding, I incorporated the original colors and emblem while adding an outline of Oklahoma to emphasize the state’s leadership in the launch.

I also highlighted the house and heart icon within the word “For” to reinforce themes of partnership, support, and unity. This project was especially rewarding because the signage was featured prominently during the press conference and later highlighted on Instagram.

March Recap Graphic

Another project assigned by my digital director was designing a monthly recap carousel highlighting Governor Stitt’s meetings and visits throughout March.

This project allowed me to creatively adapt a popular social media trend while maintaining the professional tone and visual identity consistent with the Governor’s online presence.

Small Business Week

I created this graphic on a tight turnaround to highlight the Governor’s proclamation for Small Business Week.

To emphasize the proclamation, I incorporated a faded background image effect and used the Governor’s signature navy blue to maintain visual consistency with his branding, paired with a photo of the Governor speaking at a small business event in Perry, Oklahoma.

77 County Tour

Developed for the Governor’s 77 County Tour — a statewide initiative spanning Oklahoma’s final legislative session — this logo required a careful balance of symbolism, typography, and spatial precision.

The concept centers on Oklahoma’s distinctive silhouette, using the iconic panhandle shape as the primary compositional guide. The state’s 77 counties are referenced through an outlined map form, while the two sevens are interlocked to create a unified, cohesive mark that reinforces the tour’s identity at a glance.

Typography was set in Prata, a serif typeface already established within the Governor’s official branding, ensuring visual consistency across all communications. The wordmark “Tour” is set at a deliberately reduced scale beneath the Oklahoma silhouette — a considered decision driven both by spatial constraints and a desire to maintain hierarchy and proportion within the overall composition.

Every element was approached with intentionality: the letterform pairing, the county outline, and the typographic scaling all work together to reflect the significance of the tour while honoring the unique geometry that makes Oklahoma such a compelling state to design around.

The logo was proudly featured at an event in Ardmore, OK where I staffed the Governor!

2026 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon Team

Designed for the Governor’s annual Oklahoma City Memorial Team announcement and inspired by starting lineup graphics, the Memorial Marathon graphic pairs an Oklahoma City skyline backdrop with patriotic imagery to reflect both the Governor’s official presence and the marathon theme, “Running for the American Dream.”

A bold, patriotic color palette carries through the headline typography, while the 2026 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon logo anchors the composition at the base.

The accompanying player cards extend the visual language of the hero graphic while giving each subject their own identity — featuring a consistent typographic system, three portrait formats ranging from candid to race-day action, and an American flag layered transparently behind each image. A white gradient at the base of each card creates a soft, spotlight-like effect, lending the portraits a polished, editorial quality that bridges the personal and the official.
