During my internship with the OU Arts & Humanities Forum, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Forum Director on programs and events that supported the organization's mission of fostering intellectual community and promoting public-facing research. My work spanned event communications, digital storytelling, and promotional design — all aimed at bringing visibility to the humanities on campus and beyond.
One project I was especially proud of was designing the semester poster for the Francophone World Workshop series. I incorporated imagery reflective of the featured French historical period while maintaining consistency with the Forum's branding through the use of its signature red and official logo.
Another rewarding experience was producing and hosting a podcast interview with Victoria Sturtevant discussing her book, It's All in the Delivery: Pregnancy in American Film and Television Comedy. In addition to the podcast, I also designed promotional materials for her book launch event at Full Circle Bookstore in Oklahoma City!

The design draws on imagery rooted in the featured French historical period while maintaining cohesion with the Forum’s established brand identity — anchored by its signature red and official logo.

I interviewed Dr. Victoria Sturtevant for the organization’s podcast in conjunction with the release of her book, It’s All in the Delivery: Pregnancy in American Film and Television Comedy. Our conversation explored how pregnancy has been portrayed in popular media, examining themes of gender expectations, humor, and cultural attitudes surrounding motherhood in film and television.
The interview aligned closely with the Forum’s mission of promoting public-facing humanities research by translating academic scholarship into an engaging and accessible discussion for broader audiences.
Preparing for and hosting the podcast strengthened my skills in research, strategic communication, interviewing, audience engagement, and long-form storytelling.

This design balances two anchor elements — the book cover and an author portrait — positioned across a left-right grid to naturally frame the event information between them.
Official branding for both the Forum and its Forum Readings and Conversations program is integrated throughout, ensuring institutional consistency while keeping the focus on the featured book launch.
